Breath Prayer for Busy Minds
“When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” (Psalm 56:3)
Breath prayer pairs a short Scripture phrase with your inhale/exhale. It grounds the body and anchors attention in God’s presence.
How To (60 seconds)
- Sit easily. Soften shoulders. Place a hand on your chest.
- Inhale: “When I am afraid…” (slow, gentle)
- Exhale: “…I will trust in You.”
- Repeat 6–8 breaths. Notice one small shift (pace, posture, peace).
Other Pairs
- “Be still…” / “…and know that I am God.” (Ps 46:10)
- “The Lord is my shepherd…” / “…I lack nothing.” (Ps 23:1)
- “Come to me…” / “…I will give you rest.” (Mt 11:28)
